Avenged Sevenfold, algunas veces abreviada A7X, es una banda de Huntington Beach, California. Sus integrantes son M. Shadows, Zacky Vengeance, Synyster Gates, Johnny Christ y The Rev.

A7X es una banda que en sus inicios tocaba metalcore, para luego ir evolucionando su estilo hasta el Heavy Metal y el New Wave of American Heavy Metal (NWOAHM). Cabe mencionar también, que esta banda tiene claras influencias de otros estilos como por ejemplo el Power Metal en algunos de sus temas.

Personalmente recomiendado por ser una agrupación con bastante fuerza y energía, relativamente nueva, de gran calidad musical y bastante actual. Recomendado.

Nota freak: El nombre del grupo hace referencia al Génesis, en la Biblia, cuando Caín es sentenciado a vivir en el exilio por asesinar a su hermano. Dios lo marcó de forma que nadie pudiera matarlo o vengarse. El hombre que se atreviese a matar a Cain tendría "vengeance upon him sevenfold" (la venganza sobre él siete veces).
